New rolex bought from south america

Hello all im new to this forum! I just had a question about rolex boxes. I saw on this thread that two tones receive medium boxes but i received a small box for my two tone bluesy ref(116613lb). Is it normal for submariner two tones to come in a small box?

Most of my TT and SS models came with the same size box. Only DSSD (44mm) that came with the bigger size box.

What they do in South America can vary from other countries.

I think they gave you the box they believed would fit but here in USA you could get something else.

You only get bigger boxes when you buy Precious metal watches.

The SS/TT should be the same.

My AD don't care. Once I got a small box for Explorer II and I didn't like it and when buying next watch, a Datejust smooth bezel, he gave me a big box and now always gives me big one for any watch I purchase. Boxes is their choice.

It should be a medium box but I still think the country influences that too.

Do you have the white hang tag?
The size of the box is stated on the tag in the below right corner.
Oyster S
Oyster M
etc.

No issue unless it is for you. AD's give you the box they want you to have unless the watch is PM. If you want a different box next time just ask and typically they will give you a small or medium without any guff. The watches and the boxes ship separately.

Doesn't matter imho, Rolex boxes are rather poor and hardly worth a second glance.

I believe that boxes are sent indiscriminately to ADs as separate merchandise. There’s no correlation between watches received in the proverbial “coffins” and a specific box associated with that piece. That’s what I was told by various ADs but maybe others could weigh in?

The size of the box is not what is most important, it is actually the corner to corner.
