what did you pay for your 3861 speedy and where?

Looking to pick up a new 3861 speedy, probably hesalite but maybe open to sapphire with the right price. A couple of sellers on here have new hessalite for sale ranging from 5200 to 6500 with bracelet, and I've seen Sapphire going for 6K and up. Is this as good as I'm gonna find? any recs on out of state AD's (I've heard topper but not sure how much they're willing to go down), who can beat those prices? Kind of weird that the price range doesn't seem to be changing much for pre owned vs used on the secondary market. Thanks!

I've seen the hesalite as low as mid 4s. You know omega pumps these out. Be patient if you are trying to maximize your dollar. That said a few hundred bucks is not a major issue on a watch purchase for 5k.

Cheapest I've seen for BNIB is $5000 for Hesalite and $5900 for SS from a seller on Omegaforums. He's based in Europe and says his prices are only for people outside of the EU.

That is a crazy price! That roughly works out £4.8k. The Sapphire Sandwich here from an AD is £7.4K. In my opinion, with the frequent price increases the Moonwatch is now overpriced. I would be happy to pay around £5k for the SS on the grey market though.

Yep. I think the moon watch is WORTH that amount in a vacuum, but not when you consider what else you can get from other brands/secondary market for that amount. It also has a bit to do with what else omega offers that makes it hard to justify the frequency price increases. it is a great watch nonetheless.

Talking about prices I was in Omega Boutique yesterday looking at the PM models - they are beautiful, my favourite is the Sedna gold black dial.
I just can’t get my head around the price of these however.
If they were the same price as PM Daytonas I would have bought one, just can’t justify the differential.
Feel like Omega missed a massive opportunity with the pricing on the PM models. Don’t really understand why there is so much of an uplift compared to steel 3861’s

I believe the aftermarket agrees with you and have discounted them appropriately.
