Ian Fleming's spirit just spoke to me. It was Rolex. It was ALWAYS Rolex. He just didn't want to get sued...

Sure, but Fleming also specifically said that it wasn't a Rolex in earlier books, because Oysters were too heavy, so I don't think we can say Rolex is the only true watch brand for Bond, and switching among various brands in the movies isn't far off base.

Que, that's what I'm talking about!

And as I mentioned before, if there ever was a proof that Swatch Group marketing is trying to cash in on the retro-trend, it is by selling $200 nylon/NATO straps.

Spectre is definitely a SM300Master coax on OEM nato
Craig himself wears Rolex in public unless he's getting paid to do otherwise

Yikes! I'll have to check those out. I didn't know they were doing that.

I got one the other day for my Seamaster Diver ... Very comfortable and secure.

And as far as Omega somehow "taking over" Rolex "territory" in the Bond films, just remember: it could be worse ... what about Roger Moore in all those God-awful Seiko digital watches in the '70s? The cinematic Bond has always been a different character from the one in the books ... and the revived literary Bond in the recent novels has worn a Rolex (in Solo and Carte Blanche).
