MSRP plus sales tax of 8.25% would be the max I’d spend.

I'll wait for 17% under MSRP, like all my other SS models...

Not interested even at MSRP. I have the 16710 pepsi and BLNR, which I am more than contended with.

I paid MSRP plus tax. Going grey and paying a premium was not even a consideration.

One thing I do agree: the demand drives up the prices. And it is what it is now. These watches are selling at these prices because the sellers look at past transaction prices and then set the price to maximise their profits. The one thing we don’t know is whether and when this bubble will burst. |

I think this watch at MSRP is a steal.
I think it seems “cheap” at or below $10k. |

I expect it to plateau around $15k

You can get a superior watch for 17k ... even at retail it’s not an amazing bargain... that’s Rolex brainwashing talking lol

It’s a stainless steel gmt watch...even Rolex people must realize your paying extra for a name... Tudor offers one for 4K... is upgraded steel and some finishing a “value” at 5-6k more? I’m not saying it isn’t a great watch... as soon as it’s available at retail I’ll buy one (if ever)... all I’m saying is it’s not a bargain at retail

It’s a great watch but not a go-crazy “must have it now!” watch.

Gotta love the never over msrp posts. Of course this is the correct answer if you can actually get one at msrp.
Otherwise it's "would you like to buy a watch that sells right now for 15k for 11k but retails for 9k?". "No, because 11k is over msrp" MSRP means absolutely nothing unless you can actually buy one at MSRP. |

I'd be willing to pony up $12k for sure and potentially up to $14-15k, but I'd have to think more about it. It is legitimately my dream modern Rolex (yes, I like it even more than the PM pieces), and even I can't stomach the current prices despite being able to pay them.
On one hand, I feel like a $1-2k premium over the BLNR in current market conditions seems reasonable, but on the other, the 2 ADs I've talked to and trust say they've received only 2-3 of these since they started rolling in in May while receiving 5-6 Daytonas in that same timeframe, which would suggest that prices would stay pretty high. I'm pretty high on the list (haven't been told exactly where, but I'm guessing between 6-8) and my SA said I probably won't see one in the next year. Honestly, though, I think the most important determinant of pricing will be the severity of the impending market correction/crash. If it's reasonably mild, I think prices will end up at $12k, but if it ends up being a more serious event like I expect, I think getting one of these will be like getting a black Submariner in the current market; you might find one in a case, but if not, you won't have to wait more than a few months.

1) it means you would pay £15k for it if Rolex charged that price 2) Never over MSRP actually just means "never" in the current market conditions of immense surplus demand. Might as well say "never over MSRP with a 90% discount". |

$10,500 if it was new. That's a few hundred over MSRP + tax in my area.

It's worth the money at MSRP and I'd paid it. But nothing more. I certainly would feed the frenzy albeit a softening one.....

How times change. It appears RRP is now the 'discounted' price.
When I started it buying, back in 2005...to say the beginning of last year, one with some effort could get at least 5-10% off. Now if you asked, you will, at best, be laughed out the shop, or at worst, sneered at, for wasting their time. |

Basically saying MSRP is 100k and I will pay not a penny more, or MSRP is $1 and I will not pay a penny more. |

The current hype about the Pepsi BLRO will disappear around the Baselworld 2019, wherein the new Submariner models and others will supposedly be introduced. So, just wait a few more months.
