I didn’t, but the new smoked dial and two tone makes it so much more interesting

Nice, really well done indeed. Must have lucked out with them.

Will have to keep my eyes peeled for a WG blue dial on the same strap!

I got you and to the comment above, I agree. I doesn't "have to" fit. And it will fit with some, like it does with you.

I have lots of sport models, including ROs and ROOs, Nautiluses, Overseas, in steel and PM. So when it comes to sport or smart sport (like a thin 5712) I have options.

But I still wear suits and ties in some occasions and in such cases I sometimes like to significantly dress up and in such circumstances I would like a more formal dress watch than the code.

So yes - it's personal.

I have many Rolex's luckily, mainly PM pieces. Since I got my code (same as yours) I have not worn a Rolex. The level of finish is amazing, I am looking forward to getting my next AP.

This thing is incredible in sunlight. The rose gold markers reflects light onto the new dial. Gives it brown tones, black in dark light. It’s bloody lovely

Very true, I pull out my dusty suit for a wedding every two years! I was going to buy a patek 5205 but then realised I’ll never wear the thing, if my business was city based then I’d be all over watches like that. Nice collection you have there. This is more me for virtually everyday

I’ll be honest I’m in the process of liquidising all my Rolex. I’ve realised that I like things that aren’t mainstream and are a touch more interesting. Saying that I still want a rose gold skydweller.

If I get a black chrono Royal Oak soon, I think I’m done

a 5205 can go with casual wear too, especially if you change the strap. =)

The Code took me time to appreciate... A few days after getting one, I had some buyer's remorse. Then it sat in a drawer for a month or two, I put it back on, and I finally began to not only really study and appreciate the watch design and craftsmanship, but to also really like the watch and want to wear it.

That carbon diver with orange accents is one of my all-time AP favorites! Just so cool without trying to be cool. I'd look for one but too concerned about all the fakes out there by now. I hope the new current diver brings out some fun colors... The blue, gray, and green just don't do much for me.

Yep, one of the best and the first AP I ever saw a picture of that made me stop and want one.

Apologies to quote with the pic imbedded but it’s too good not to re-spam

I like it. But that's the issue for me and probably why I will never buy one. It's too sporty to be dress and too dress to be sporty.

I don't see where it fits
That’s why I like it. I’m a type that wear sneakers with a suit so it fits me perfectly.

The code is a nice watch.. you gotta see it in person to really appreciate this line. I have and I'm thinking about getting one.
