Any comments on this 5513

I am looking at buying this 5513, any comments appreciated as I am certainly not an expert on vintage Rolex - cheers

your pics arent working

edit: now it is, pretty good looking meters first 5513, one of the better dials i've seen in a while, crown guards are a bit polished but lugs look fine. how much are they asking? hard to tell if thats a rivet link bracelet or a later replacement from pics.

The price is about £4300 / $7000, looks nicer in flesh with cream patina - good 5513s seem harder to find since I last looked

What year is it, or serial number?

that seems like a fair price, especially since you're in the UK and your prices are a bit higher than here in the States. I believe the insert is original as well, and if it is, it will make it a great deal. i've seen some good condition Meters first 5513's selling in the 8k+ recently and for $7k you would be hard pressed to find another in that condition. while this one had a fatter case, I believe the dial is in worse condition, and just look at the asking price and realize it probably sold for within $500-1000 of that price which would still make it 1800-2300 above whats being asked for yours but this is a MK1 dial which I don't believe the one you posted is.

I just bought one myself ... And I'm no expert by any stretch!

The braclet should be s 7206 rivet style if I'm not mistaken. You'd also want to know the crown is original. the dial looks good, but the hands don't match .. Or maybe it's just the light.

The experts will chime in Shortly I'm sure. More shots would help,

Opinions based on one photo.
Dial is an authentic mf matte dial which is correct for '67, serial number not given.
Hands are a reasonable match to dial.
Insert does not look correct for a '67, pearl NOT close.
Case with what appear to be smallish crown guards, lugs look reasonable with nice satin finish to the lug decks, and chamfers from this view look sharp.
Likely the watch has received a recent polish.
Bracelet is not correct.

I think hands are original they look a good match in the flesh. Not sure if the crown guards are smallish or if it's the angle of the photo, has been polished at some point and is on later 93150 bracelet. Do you think it's worth going for?

Does the insert look period or is it much later?

That insert does not look 47 years old.

That insert doesn't look like it's from Rolex at all. Aftermarket, maybe? The pearl appears to be too sloppy to be OEM.

$7000 for a MF is quite reasonable but you must take into consideration the case being polished and possibly a later insert. If you can live with this you should consider purchasing.
I would personally pay a little more for a better example with the correct bracelet- you would probably save money rather than correcting this one!
