26402cb or 15407st

Hi guys I recently find a second hand 26402cb white ceramic 44mm, condition is only ok, replacement of case is necessary if I want the watch to look like new, price is around usd 43000 usd, I also find a brand new 15407st of course price is quite expensive around 64000 usd. So I can only purchase one of them, I am wondering which one has better resale value, can anyone give me some idea on this issue please??
Many Thanks 🙏

I know nothing about the white Ce, but the SS 15407 you would be buying way above retail so im guessing there isnt much room to hold value after paying that much to get it.

In any case, spending 40-60k I would buy what i liked best and those are two very different watches.

Thx for your reply Tyler.
I also own a 26400 au at this moment so I am afraid 26402cb is too similar in style and I will get bored with these sport style quick. Just like my old 26405ce, I rarely wear it after the purchase of 26400au because 26400au is much lighter and eventually I sold it, I only own the 26405ce for 6 months....
Talking about 15407st, so even the demand of it is so high, there still not much room to hold value? So if I try to resell it later, assume it is in great condition, I thouht I could at least get back 60k usd?

There's a potential it's in a bubble - 60K is like 16K over list? They could become more available in a few years, and prices would come back closer to MSRP.

The 15407 is certainly not as tough to get as some PP Nautilus models. A relative put down a deposit at the HK boutique at the beginning of this year (and is not a super VIP), and has been told to expect one soon.

I want a 15407 and there is no way I would buy it used for 60k, but that is just me.

I can't speak to ease of acquiring but paying that much over list means the bubble has to continue to break even and the bubble has to grow more to appreciate. 15407, SS Daytona, SS nautilus are all trading at market prices. Whenever market prices are that far apart from retail, its a great investment to buy at retail but not at market. I dont see this being a 70+k watch or even 60k in the used market in 10 years

I am completely biased but I think the 15407 is one of the most visually stunning pieces released in the past few years (from ANY brand!). The current asking prices are bonkers, but I know for a fact there are people out there paying that or close to it. I had pretty good luck with the Taiwan AP boutique and waited about 6 months before getting the call a few days ago. Seeing as you are in HK, might not be a bad idea to give them a call and see where you'd be on the list. FWIW I made the deposit through Vivienne at the boutique, and will be going next week to pick it up. :)

May I ask what the MSRP is on the 15407?

Out of the two (especially since you already have similar offshore), I would go for the 15407. Simply one of the best watches to get amongst the modern AP. I love the design.

If you can wait out the waitlist, I would simply put the name and deposit down and get the 15407.

Resale value... the 15407 imo will hold better value than the other piece. (in relative terms).

I would get the 407 if I were you but hate all these inflated premiums that are creeping all over our beloved hobby, so I'd sign up to a bunch of ADs and hope.
