Icon20 Vintage Box at Goodwill

I found this vintage rolex box at goodwill, can anyone give me information? It says rolex and geneve-suisse. I'm curious as to the year or model it carried and its value? It had a universal geneve watch inside from 1943, not sure if it is from a similar time period. Any info is helpful, thanks! (see picture attachments)

I would guess 50's by the look of it and most likely for a women's model

Cool find. Did you buy it? Any pics of the watch that was in it?

I bought an Air King 5500 from their once a few years ago. $500 bucks. It actually cost me twice that to get it serviced and operational. Barely got my money back. Should have kept it.

The color choice for the leather suggests a men’s model, and the rectangular shape suggests a tank-shaped watch.

Thanks for the info so far. We did buy the box and watch, $1.50 total. Here is the watch. It has a broken band, but all the necessary pieces for repair.

I believe the box is for a men's bubble back. I have seen a few paired.
And certainly could have been from that same time period.
Probably bought by a GI in WWII.
Pretty common from my experience.
The jeweler at the time may have just stuck the Universal in the Rolex box at that time.
Things were not quite as cut and dry back then.

my guess is it would be cheapest to find a Universal case on ebay, and just have the innards swapped. not an extremely valuable watch, but a cheap enough project to make it worthwhile i'd imagine.
