I have the new 41MM sub and the 116600 SD4K, which I believe has the same bracelet as the 116610 sub. The clasps are the same length. The new sub's bracelet is obviously wider by 1 MM or so. In any case, I like the fit of the new sub bracelet better. It and the wider bracelet make the watch ever so slightly more stable. I also have a 6.5 inch wrist, flat. I have to wear all my watches fairly tight to keep them from moving around too much and the newer bracelet while visually bigger (but by just a tad) helps with this by distributing the weight just a little more broadly.

Serious question, I got my new sub at my AD, but there's none to try on. Are you located in an area where there's better supply, because if you're where your profile says, I'm in easy driving distance.

Thanks everyone for the input, I have a 6.75 in wrist and liked the 11 series clasp, sounds like most everyone who owns one has no issue with it. Now I just have to decide :)

I have had the new Submariner since it was launched in September, it is worn on a regular basis and is one of, if not the most, comfortable watch that I own. Now I like to wear my watches above the wrist bone, and for the watch to be a snug fit on my wrist. The clasp issue in my opinion just does not exist, it is absolutely fine, the watch is an easy wear, it's fits me beautifully and can be on my wrist for 15-16 hours at a time without becoming uncomfortable. This is my first Submariner, I would be more than happy to add any of the other new Sub's to my collection, if I can get my hands on one. Buy with confidence, it is a great watch and one that you will enjoy wearing.

I haven't handled one yet. It doesn't look as looong though.

Question for owners of the new reference...any of you wear your watch 24/7? I wear my GMT on Jubilee 24/7 except at the gym. Curious how the two compare as I am eyeing the Submariner as another daily wearer.

I think the Sub is the perfect watch to wear 24/7, probably the most perfect watch Rolex has for that. Especially for me, because my wrists contract and expand quite a bit, and the glidelock makes it so easy to adjust.
