GMT II with end links and leather

In case anyone else has thought of giving this a shot, here are a few pics of my 16710 with ebay end links (georgeyeo1962) and an unlined dark brown (oxblood) horween shell cordovan from fluco.

I tried to reach etur but wasn't able to. These ebay links are solid and fit perfectly. I am curious how they would work with a thick strap, as it was a very snug fit with this thin leather. The fluco I bought is very thin, which is what I initially wanted. It's high quality and comfortable. In retrospect, though, I think it might be too thin for the gmt. Support wise it's perfectly ok, but it seems a bit insubstantial for the watch head.
Also, I'm not sure if pics show it, but this is more reddish brown than black brown.

I'm thinking of getting a medium thick whiskey/tan horween and moving this fine strap to one of my smaller watches. Let me know if anybody wants more pics or has questions.

Thanks for sharing. I'm not sure about that. The color of the strap along with the two colors on the bezel makes it very confusing to the eye (at least for me anyway). A strap with some stitching running down the length of the strap might help to give it more balance.

I just received my second strap, and I love this combo. The original oxblood was very nice, but very thin. This is thicker and still the highest quality horween shell cordovan. So far, I'm a big fan.
