312 info

Hi - just a quick question for those who own or have tried on the 312. How comfortable is it with that curved back? It is really different than the modern cases (111, 024, etc).

Thanks,
Chris

I find it comfortable but it does sit high on the wrist. The comtemporary case sits lower on the wrist. IMHO, the comtemporary case is the more comfortable of the two. Hope this helps. But the 312 do have the most gorgeous dial. Of course I am biased!!!

I think the 1950 casing is more comfortable than the contemporary models, it sits lower and hugs the wrist.

Very comfortable on the wrist due to the 1950 case. However, it is a very tall piece, and I have trouble fitting it under sleeves.

If someone has tried on or has both the Deep Sea and the 312 - which sits higher?

Hey Chris,

I have owned both. The DSSD wears higher the PAM wears wider if that makes sense.

Chris,

with luck, I should have my 312 tomorrow - you can come and check it out. I can't wait - this will be the one for me! Can't believe I made it this long without a Pam!

My SD ended up on the bedside table after I bought my Pam. The SD has now gone to another happy home but the Pam is staying.

You rang?

I'm obviously biased but there are several GMT models, 88, 320, 321, 233, 270 to name a few. GL

Thanks - yeah just looking at some 270s on ebay, all around $12,000, not wanting to spend that much, will look at the other models you have suggested.

The 270 is gorgeous
There is a new SE model coming out this year, the 29. It's a stunner
