Sea Dweller 116600 Spring bars

Hi all

I've managed to get all my spring bars muddled up! Could someone please post a picture of the spring bars that come with the Sea Dweller 116600 so I know which ones to fit!

Cheers

P.S. It turns out that the SD doesn't work too well on a NATO - the deep case back means it sits really high on the wrist so looks a bit silly. Disappointingly will have to find an alternative solution for skiing! Will maybe have to buy a new watch! :-)

I cut the extra keeper piece off my natos. Makes the watch sit less high than with the extra keeper piece yet still offers the protection in case of spring bar failure.

How about rubber strap? IMO looks better than nato on sd4k

Or even cordura or sailcloth type straps. I'm sure it'll look awesome on the SD4K.

What is wrong with the bracelet for skiing? Just asking!

Also a nice Everest rubber strap could be the happy medium!

Nothing really wrong with the bracelet for skiing, but the Nato gives the added protection against Spring Bar failure. Probably entirely unnecessary, but I've always worn watches on a Nato when skiing, so it's become habit I guess.

You can use a shoulderless spring bar for your watch that will act like a solid bar when you are wearing a nato. If you use one with with a thinner middle section you will have more room. The only downfall is you have to cut them every time you want to put a bracelet on them.

Our trim the strap like you did.

I wear my Explorer 2 on its bracelet while snowboarding and dirt biking, but I put an old school terry wristband over it. No way the watch is sneaking out from under that thing and I get sweat wiping goodness.

How about a black Perlon strap? I use one on my 14060m when I go into the ocean. If I lose a spring bar I still have one left (hopefully) to keep from losing my watch.

All I would say is make sure the spring bars are seated well. I met someone who lost his treasured watch when he thinks he did not click home the bars when returning to the metal strap. Watch was lost.
I personally think the original metal strap, left alone is the safest option.

Maybe, unless the spring bars or wore out or not seated correctly. Then it will fail also.
