Lot of nice watches in FL... nobody is going to care. There is more flashy shit in Miami than most anywhere else. If you’re going to Orlando, I’d wear a tag Heuer and blow out those outlet stores.

Good tip!
I often go to Mizner Park in Boca Raton and annoy the AP, Panerai, etc. dealers. Also like the Lange boutique in Palm Beach. Went to Hamilton Jewelers at PGA Mall. I will check on JR Dunn!

To be honest, your real risk is wearing a nice watch to any place called “Cheetah”, “Scarlett’s” or “Tootsies”. Do not, do not, do not go to “King of Diamonds”.

Wear your favorite, whichever that is.
Most dangerous things down here are spending a day on the beach without sunblock and generally horrible drivers. Hope you have a fun trip!

Florida “urban areas” are a dangerous place. We now have “Timex only” zones and “Casio after dark” regions

I used to live in that area. Wear any watch you want. Boca Raton is a wealthy area. Of course there are bad neighborhoods around there, but why would you be traveling there. Mayors is also one of the biggest Rolex AD in the nation with multiple store locations in Florida, but they are filled to the brim with high rollers... There are also 2 AP boutiques in Miami if you have time to check them out. That’s where I got my RO from excellent staff.

There's more money between Ft.L and Palm beach than most any place on Earth. There's also a lot of scum bags that will do anything for a $1.
If your staying at the Breakers in PB you can wear anything you want. The Sheiks will be rocking their custom gaudy looking crap and so will their 6 wives. If your staying at the Motel 6 in Boynton, wear your Timex, and don't ever take it off except at gun point. Have fun. |
