Yes, they no longer make cursive a requirement in schools; it's too archaic. I like to write. My journal is going strong.

Likewise, I love to take notes by hand, write in my calendar, jot ideas.......

I like this idea. I'm a fully paid up millennial that writes with a fountain pen but I'm in a minority. The only thing that worries me is schools enforcing hand writing too strictly. Although I take a lot of trouble with my writing it has always been poor due to dyspraxia. I vividly remember the feeling of desolation and injustice I had at school when I was forced to re-do perfectly intellectually sound work because my writing was insufficiently neat. Not only was that incredibly frustrating but it risked deterring me from learning for life and I wouldn't wish that on any other kids. Let writing be a skill and a hobby but not a requirement to progress I say.

Wow. Sorry to hear about your early experience.

Ironic that schools were so strict on early enforcing of hand writing in grade school (focus should have been the joy of being able to write - like an art form) and then proceed to abandon it in middle school and above.

As an aside, take letter-writing for instance. No, take writing cards. I can barely (and I mean barely) get my 16-year old to write thank you cards. He wants to send them an email...

Enjoyed using my new Graf von Faber-Castell Intuition Platino Grenadilla. The weight is great and the wood is nice and warm to write with.

Is there any chance you could take a close up picture of the hallmark on the cap. I need a photo to demonstrate that I was sold a fake. Thanks if you can and if you can't.

Thanks for the try. I guess I wasn't clear enough. The hallmark is stamped in the metal neat the bottom of the cap. See below.
