I will never forget the terrorist attacks on that horrific day. May the heroes and innocent victims from that day rest in peace.

I was 12 and watching TV when 9/11 happened. I called my mom who was outside gardening. She started to panic because my stepdad was a pilot for America West. Thankfully he was fine. We will never forget those who were lost, as well as the heroes that day.

Remember exactly where I was that day, working in a factory in Northern New York. Who would have thought that In July 2002 I’d be joining the New York City Police Department. Mixed feelings about that day. Seventeen years later I sometimes regret not being on the job that day, but kinda thankful I wasn’t.

I remember oh so well that day, being a NY'er and living here in Vancouver, when I got a call from one of my staff to turn on the news as I was getting ready for work and will never, ever forget that horror and horrible day.
Hoist both the USA and Canadian flags at 1/2 mast on this day.
God bless those lost.

i can't believe its been 18 years. I was there 2 days before it happened! My cousin took little 8 year old me to the city to visit his campus at Columbia U and then we took the 1 all the way down to the WTC. I remember looking up and marveling at how tall they were. Just to think 2 days later, they were history. The clouds went all the way over my town on Long Island. My best friend's dad was a volunteer firefighter and he went there to search and rescue. He succombed to lung cancer 2yrs ago. What a shame. I didn't understand the gravity of that day at the time but now I get it.. I can't even to the memorial without getting upset and seeing all the tourists smile and laugh. It's essentially a cemetary, not a happy place! RIP to all those who lost their lives and all those who were affected. Truely a day we will NEVER forget

Yesterday was and is always a tough one for me. Thanks to all that went in. Thanks to all who gave everything. Thanks to those still suffering. Thanks to those we continue to lose. I'm glad I went. I'm thankful that I came home. I'm appreciative that I'm still here. Never forget.
