I'm fairly new here but it really is a testament to this forum, the members, and the management. The ability to have a very large forum that can go with no advertisement, and get by with relatively minimal donations by its membership allows it to operate without influence and be just what a good community drives to be, a good community, for the good of the community.
The people take care of each other, have fun, and dope slap only when necessary. Good stuff. I run a mid size forum (completely different topic) that keeps the lights on with minimal ads and great sponsors (most sponsor were members first and most nonmember requests are not accepted). It is hard not to cash in and monetize but it is better for the community. So many other forums maximize profits at the expense of free and open dialog. Great work guys! What you all pull off here is nothing short of amazing.
