YG Day-Dates with Jubilee Bracelet Option

Does anyone know which YG DD models had YG jubilee bracelets available as an option? Not sure whether this stopped with the 18238, 18038, 1803, etc. and interested in pinning down how late these were an option.

I don’t know the answer, but I’m interested!

I’m not even quite certain whether the DD was ever offered from the factory “on” a Jubilee - If you wanted that, it may be that you had to buy the DD on a strap, and buy the Jubilee bracelet separately.

That’s how it appears in the ‘74-‘75 catalog, at least. No Jubilee option is listed among the DD configurations, but the 18k Jubilee is offered separately and is listed as “for” DJ, DD, and GMT. ($3225 in yellow or pink, $3360 in white gold)

I have a vague recollection that there is some issue with Jubilee end links fitting DD cases, but that catalog lists them as “for” the 4-digit DD, so maybe the issue only exists for Jubilee on 5-digits (if it exists at all)?

I have an 1803 on President and also a couple of 1013s, one of which came on Jubilee. The Jubilee and the President share the same 53 endlinks, I'd change them up if they weren't different colour golds! So YES you can find a Jubilee that fits. But please note those 53 endlinks do NOT fit on my 1601/8...they're too small...if you get one from a DJ, it won't fit your DD.

It was never a factory option. In the old days. You could simply say you want it on a jubilee and AD would allow this change at a cost.

Again I’m not sure, but I’d expect not after 1977. (David probably knows for certain.)

If 18K Jubilees were only fitted with 53 end links, then presumably the option wouldn’t have worked on any 5-digit DDs, only the 180x.

Here's a catalog form 1998 and you can still chose from the Jubilee bracelet or the President

Wow very interesting, 1998 makes sense now that I remember that you could buy a YG datejust with jubilee in those days. I’ll bet that jubilee fit the DD as well.
