Reading this article made me think of the Speedmasters NASA sent into space. I wonder why NASA didn't send them up with Rolex's.

The current Daytona auto didn't exist, and the Speedmaster whipped all the watches in the battery of very tough tests. I'm amazed that the government picked a winner that had a reasonable price, and they didn't specify a custom made, $100,000 watch that showed up three years late.
