I'm wondering if the Macan is popular elsewhere in the world? Its supposed to be the entry level Porsche here, but in Turbo guise, costs a whopping $217,500 as spec'd. Anyway, since I had one at my disposal for the day, I decided to try and take it off road. I think it did quite well. Quite powerful for its size; although I do wish it had the sports exhaust (which would add to the already bulbous price!).

As weird as it sounds, I've never driven a 45 or 63 AMG. Only the older C32 and CLS55 from many years back.

Once they added turbos to their AMG engines it's not comparable to the older counter parts. I've driven the older g55 and the new g63 the difference is literally day and night

Wrapped those ugly chrome plastic Mercedes parts they should only come in metal or carbon standard.

^Congrats! Looking menacing now.

Have been hooning the new TT for a week. Absolutely fantastic little car. No quattro, but still corners like a maniac on rails. Only 230hp, but considering it shares much with the mk7 GTI, I reckon it can easily be mapped to some 280-290hp without any hardware change.

Another Sunday morning breakfast run. Super hazy in KL, so we thought it would be a good idea to drive some 150km via some super twisty roads to have breakfast. Meet-up at 6:30am, then depart at 7:00am. Only a small number of cars this run, with the 2014 GTR as lead car and a E90 M3 sweeper. I'm in the black GTI, and the biggest problem I have... is deciding who to follow. Behind the GTR? M3? Boxster? They all spit out chunks of gravel for a good stone chippery session...

Unfortunately...
1) the haze was just as bad at our destination
2) the shop we had thought of visiting (dry curried pork noodles!) was closed!

But of course it was all good; we made do with other food and there were some fantastic moments! Most memorable perhaps was overheard on walkie...

"Bro, are we almost there yet?"
"Yeah man, almost there."

I heaved a sigh of relief. I didn't realize how far we were going and didn't pee at our first checkpoint. Except... the "almost there" lasted another 65km / 50mins of more driving! These are tight two lane (and two way) roads, nowhere to stop for a leak. Let's just say I was sure not to repeat that mistake for our journey home

Word. Looks more aesthetically pleasing imo. Unfortunately, here, you will get pulled over!

Anyway, recently had the good fortune of having a private viewing of this ridiculous machine... no camera, so have to make do with phone pics.

P.S. not easy to figure out what car

Also... does anyone see Alonso here???

Cheers Tom! :D Since I've been posting a number of F-cars in my last post, I thought I'd try some L-cars this time around

Happy Eid Mubarak to those that celebrate! It is a public holiday here in Malaysia today. Now, I typically do not wake up early on days like this, but today was a little different. I had a little... motivation. Test driving the AMG GT-S Edition 1; she sounds like a rattling gun!

There is a huge car scene in Malaysia, but the owners are scattered in many groups. Wish we could organize a local cars & coffee scene here. Would be awesome. But at this point in time, I cannot think of one location that can offer the sort of space for such a gathering...

Anyway... have been testing a car yesterday. Haven't had time to work on pics; will update soon :-)

one day I would love a real exotic but this gives me the speed and the feel of one at a fraction of the price

Beautiful GT3! I'm yet to drive one, and have been wondering just how they would be...

And lovely GTR as well, Murph! There's one very similar to yours where I am (same wheels but minus wing), but was unfortunately stolen and never recovered :-(

And as promised... some pics of my test car earlier this week. Easily one of the fastest stock cars I've ever driven; cruising at 120km/h in 7th gear at 2,000rpm. Put your foot down and you don't even feel any lag, your body slammed deep into the seats. Insanity.
