Check out this beast
Thank you Morris, of Malone Racing, for choosing D3 Performance Engineering for your ZR1 Corvette build. His ZR1 was shipped to us with an LSX engine upgrade along with a complete nitrous plate system for which he was looking to remove and add some more power without having to refill nitrous bottles all the time. The decision was quickly made to build a compound boost setup to decrease spool up times with the factory supercharger while adding the top end power from the turbo. Our fab department engineered and fabricated a rear mount system using a Precision ProMod 88 billet turbocharger, placing the turbo in the rear of the vehicle but keeping centered to evenly distribute weight in the rear. Boost control was done with a pair of Tial wastegates with matching Tial blow off valves in the front. All hot side was handcrafted out of aircraft grade stainless steel while all the cold side from high grade aluminum. This turbo system is completely designed with no additional intercooler system aside from the factory bricks, modified by D3PE, and a D3PE ZR1 HX System with an added ice tank used for long pulls during top speed events. We also upgraded the engine cooling system by adding our direct bolt on PWM Dual Spal Fan Shroud kit. We upgraded the fuel system to a Fore Innovations Level 4, E85 compliant, triple Ti 267 pump setup matched with Injector Dynamics 2000cc injectors to handle the new horsepower while running Ignite E98. We also upgraded the clutch to a RPS quad carbon with Tilton adjustable slave and Tick adjustable master. To complete the build, we added a D3PE ZR1 ProEFI package to help protect the engine as well as put the power to the ground. The standard package was installed along with a back pressure sensor (used to actively make fueling changes based on back pressure), flex fuel sensor, I-boost for on the fly map selecting, and boost control. The package also comes standard with traction control, launch control, and rolling antilag. On our dyno this setup made 1425whp and 1198wtq at 34 psi making it the highest horsepower ZR1 in the world! Keep an eye out for Malone Racing at all of the half mile events! sent from the batcloset in the batcave on the batphone |

That is incredible but what in the world does one do with 1400 to the rear wheels? I figure you might need awd to attempt putting that down.

My first love is racing, with rolex a close second. This year I raced a new class called Chevrolet Peformance Stock hosted by the NMCA. It is a crate motor class using a sealed 525hp Chevy LS3. My best 1/4 mile time was 10.64@126mph

Foosh, that's a whole lot of horsepower. I'm guessing these monsters are usually let loose on dragstrips only? Drag races are less popular here due to the heavy costs of mods involved. Instead, track times on Sepang F1 circuit is a cheaper, more popular option.
That said, we just had a Time Attack machine grace our track - the HKS GT1000 which lapped Sepang in just 2:07.193 with full slicks. Just to put things in to perspective, some of the fastest lap times recorded over the weekend (by respective categories): Mitsubishi EVO 9 - 2:15.611 HKS GT1000 GTR - 2:17.529 VW Mk6 Golf R - 2:24.958 Honda Civic FD2R - 2:24.959 Ferrari 458 - 2:27.337 Lotus Exige S - 2:28.292 |

Lightweight pair turned out from nowhere:
And this Revozport MP4-12C just changed hands recently, and went through a minor makeover. Mmm... interesting new colour: Oh! Here's how she looked like before: |

My new toy 2006 Mustang GT
I set out to find a 2013 or 2014 Mustang 5.0 with under 20k miles and found this 06 with 27k miles w/auto for 10k....all it needed was rear shocks which i put on 3 days ago....koni....for a firm ride. I dont have 420HP but this one has around 325 or so....plenty of pep for an old fart like me.

Had this monster up in the mid near 145mph on the Palisades. Talk about fun to drive. Picture isn't posting properly.
Try this one. We rented a few cars for the day, best money spent ever. We didn't rent the NSX, that was the guide's car. Why are my pictures showing up so large, wtf. |
