I'm confused. Which Rolexes have hollow center links?
I was looking in the FS section and noticed newer serialed subs and sea-dwellers (16610 & 16660 only) have what appeared to be hollow center links.... Any input is appreciated!

They do have the hollow centre links. Generally put, if it's the tuna can clasp, then the centre links will be hollow, if it's the new clasp then they'll be solid. As of now all new oysters except for the original YM and the 14060M have solid centre links and the new clasp. Anyone correct me if I'm wrong though!

All 16610's and all 16660's have the "hollow" centerlinks.

Rumors.
I'm not aware of any rumor coming true, but I haven't been at this very long.

Tools, if you have any input on this... Does the 16622 have hollow or solid centre links? I know the YMII has the new solid bracelet but if I remember correctly, the "original" YM still has the old tuna can clasp and the hollow centre links. Hopefully some light can be shed on this mystery!

The YM II has solid links. All YM have solid links with old style clasp except for the TT which has hollow links.

Wow, I cannot belive Rolex used hollow links for that long!
I'm somewhat new to the Rolex game but I have browsed thousands of posts (and FS section too) and the hollow links on all models except the newer ones never stood out to me. I was under the impression that the only model made with hollow center links was the 14060 and the older 16610's, like pre-2000) |

Hey All! (First post here by the way!)
I'm going to be buying the 116610LN in the next 1-3 months (hopefully!) and was just wondering about the hollow/not hollow link question with regard to this model... does the 116610LN have hollow center links? Besides being hollow or not, what advantage(s)/disadvantage(s) are there to this with this model? Thanks!! |
