This has all helped me massively guys. I agree that I have paid top book and now getting bottom book against top book. Don't get me wrong, their offer may be the norm, or good... But just surprised that the price has dropped so much when they're still selling others for what I paid for mine. Get the business aspect though regardless.
If there's a grand difference, at least I now know I guess. Only slight odds with that is that there's no difference in their prices between sub and SD. They're much of a muchness give or take £200 and the odd year in date. That's why I thought the difference would be much less. Regardless, it would mean I'll have to find a SD for the £4k mark for it to make any sense for me. Whether they exist or not is another matter. |

Arty, if you buy from a shop the price includes VAT which the shop owners have to pay. The percentage varies per country but can go as high as 25%.
That and a normal profit margin explains taking a hit like yours is normal imho.

Just keep the 16610. I had one once - great watch.
I have a 16600 now, (E/1990). I prefer the SD. Overall pretty similar, though.

Can you tell me what you prefer about the SD?? I'm still in two minds as to what to do! I've tried one on now at least, but still not sure as to whether to change or not!
