Tudor 7923
I think one gets listed every 5 years. Pretty unusual if it's legit. Red printing on dial and numbers on the back. I have no idea if this is correct or not. Let's see how much she goes for. I say $12k if dial is good

I was waiting for someone to post about this! "Red" Tudors usually send me running, but it seems some have popped up. Very curious about this one, wish there were more/better pics.

Seller added some new pictures and the price is all ready over 50.000 USD.
It's in very good shape. |

I had predicted 60-70k among some friends. I was expecting that last ramp at the end.
This is a true gem and almost as rare as it gets... The grail for Tudor folks, likely edging out a SCG.

I am expecting him to stop the auction. I just speculate this due to the interest.

I can think of 100 watches I'd rather have than a manual wind Tudor dive watch myself. Rare it is but desirable imho only to those that have a vertical and horizontal collection and need a space to fill.

I threw in at 82.6 but I am drawing a line in the sand there......lol....
I love the dial and the watch but not crazy about the radium...... In addition, these dials are essentially active and will continue to downgrade....right? |

Plus, like watches, we continue to degrade as well.

Remarkable condition. Case and insert is like new. I wonder what a geiger reading would say? Some say relume but with the condition of the other parts I am curious to know if it could be the original radium.
Spectacular watch indeed. I would personally get other things for this money but I am guessing the new owner of this will have money for both this one and much, much more. Always great to see that there are much more to discover. |

If I were to bid and win, I will request to pick-up and pay the watch in person. It would be too risky to send that large amount of money and hope the seller will ship the watch. It happened to me years ago when I won the bidding for a Rolex 6239 Daytona on ebay. I sent the money and never heard from the seller again.

Wow is this expected for a 7923 in terms of pricing? I love the idea of a manual wind vintage dive watch and love the pencil hands but would probably not pay over 10k for one.

Supply and demand. Price is higher than I expected it would go. I would pay over 10 k for one ;)

Its eBay too. This happens a lot on high dollar items. It skyrockets but then the winning bidder doesnt pay, you give the opportunity to the second bidder and they dont want it so then it gets listed again and again

Seller must have read your mind. Purchased a $50 Geiger counter off eBay and posted the results. With a $100K+ windfall coming I guess he could afford to :-)

Radiation seems very high if it is a relume. Of course it is hard to say if anything is relumed as untouched hands would give strong results even if dial is relumed later on. All and all it looks like an amazing piece. The guys bidding 100k+ probably know what they are doing. |
