Seiko Incoming

As I said last week, I decided to go with the SRP777. Last night the packaged from the UK arrived and boy, was I surprised...

Just some quick thoughts:

1) Even though its a 44mm (which I had my doubts about it) it wears pretty slim and comfortable. *Is this me realizing I can rock a DSSD?
2) Build quality is great, period!
3) A true tool watch, the bezel is precise, I have no alignment issues and it just feels like a great tool watch. Reminds me of my old 16610ln, just focused on getting the job done, no gimmicks.
4) love the matte black dial
5) the strap is comfortable but maybe I’ll add a steel bracelet down the road.
6) for $250 dollars, I cant think of a better tool watch.

Here are some photos.

Thanks for stopping by!

This is a winner, all day every day. $250 doesn't buy a strap for many watches!

I'm biased though, I have a few of its older brothers in the collection.

Congratulations, I have got a PADI and it's surprisingly very comfortable may be it's not surprising I don't know but I love that watch

Congrats, you absolutely cannot go wrong with that !
I too, appreciate the fundamental honesty and straightforwardness of these Seikos, the downside being when I wear mine, I hear my wife's voice in my ear asking why I spent so much on "X" brand luxury, steel, 3 hand sports watch.....
It's daft NOT to have one of these in a collection.

Thanks guys! I’m Actually really surprised on how excited I am about this watch. I cant stop looking at it, only downside I’ve found is the bracelet is a bit too long and the buckle a bit too big. But man what a great watch it is!

Beauty. Really cool having a diver that is not a submariner clone. I am headed to Tokyo in a few weeks and eyeing a SRP777 or a SS Tuna...anyone know if the Turtle can be had with Kanji date? Would love an automatic SS Seiko diver with Kanji date.

I believe those are only made and found for the Japanese market, so I guess you’re not going to have any issues finding one. A kanji date would be so cool!

Congrats on a great watch! I had a 777 for about 20 minutes and I loved it (apart from alignment issues). That strap is killer comfortable, too. And I agree, it wears way smaller than a 44.

Now if only I weren't a one-watch kinda guy...

How are you liking it after five months?

I almost picked one up in HK last week, but the AD only had a Pepsi bezel version.
