Tony, are you angry?
Why do you prefer the 5170?

If you went to an AD and asked them questions about the watch you want to buy - they'll oblige. If you ask them questions like "Who invented the Tourbillon?" then you might get a sour face and short answers.

Do your patients ask you questions like "Who invented the stethoscope?" Not saying you don't know the answer to that question but many people might find it superfluous to the purpose of the interaction.

Actually yes some of them have. The questions were about the watch I wanted to buy.
The majority of the discussions I see on this forum are pricing, look what i bought, who is a good AD, with the rare question or two about the actual watches. Slash and grab is the new measure of cool. Who cares about anything but what I got or am going to get. Read through the posts on this forum and filter out all the nonsense replies that have nothing to do with the posters question, yours included. It would decrease the need of storage or archiving by 50%. I posed a question about which chronograph and why. You didn't address that question but thought hey i'll be cooler if i point out the potential flaws of others. You're typical and i'm cool with that.
Its been real and really I'm not taking offense but this thread is hereby dead.

Well, it’s definitely a dead thread for him – if only he’d been a clairvoyant…

To answer Jay's question if I was going to get a doctor's watch chrono I'd get one of the older Lange 1815 with the pulsometer; if you find one of these Jay you'll be in good shape.

The new boutique edition 1815 chrono has a pulsometer as well.

I think the Mont Blanc Vintage Pulsograph is a strong option as well - beautiful movement and quite unlikely to see another.

Had people not "shown off" watches like this beauty I would've never known about some of my favorites now...and might not have found the next one I'm saving for. I'm glad you guys show what you've got and will always continue to because it gives some of us something special to strive for rather than just another Rolex ( and I don't mean that in a negative way, bc I'm an owner). I'm all for taking longer to make my next purchase of it's something like Martins

and keep the pics coming
