Best sport model for small wrist 6.25in

Does the 41mm sub wear bigger or smaller than the previous 40mm sub?

My wife is very petite and wears the Tudor S&G Chrono on Bund. I would consider the new Tudor chronographs as a great option..

Exactly. You should go and try it at an AD first and see which you feel you’re comfortable with. I think a Sub, GM or a Daytona should be fine. A sports watch will be a little bigger than your DJ36 but it’s how it should be. Don’t stress over it. I have a 6.75” wrist and wear a sub. Am sceptical too but want to try a SkyDweller!

To me, that’s a negative for a guy. Wearing a watch too big for your wrist is, IMO, effeminate. Or, it reminds me of a little kid wearing his daddy’s watch. Not a good look.

I concur. I have made this mistake before. I bought an Omega Dark Side of the Moon and wore it for 2 weeks. Took me that amount of time to realize it looked ridiculous on my 6 inch wrist. Never wore it again and eventually gave it to a friend with a 7 inch+ wrist. In my opinion, a watch that's too big is worse than a watch that's too small. Smaller is the lesser of two evils

Apart from deepsea, you will have no problem at all.

Sometimes I wonder do my watche look too large on my 6,25 ' wrist. Then I make a quick clance to the girl or the guy next table wearing a ridiculously sized (46mm+) smart watch and I realize I have nothing to be ashamed of.

Seriously I think 48 mm lug to lug is my limit so most of the Rolex professional rangewear fine.

My wrist is not much bigger than 6 inches.

So much focus on width of the case in this thread! Thickness really makes a huge difference on a smaller wrist.

If you want a modern Rolex sports watch, you can go Yachtmaster (40mm), Daytona, or Explorer. 36 OP works as well. The rest are just not going to look good on a 6 inch wrist.

If you want a submariner or GMT, go vintage! The thinner case profiles work much better.

And if you want to look non Rolex… 38mm Royal Oak chrono.

I'm a believer of wearing what you want as long as it makes you feel good; however, when a fellow members asks us for our honest opinion, and their watch looks too large for their wrist in the photo they've attached, I think we have to tell them the truth.

And for those who have to justify that a DSSD looks ok on their 6.25 wrist because they've seen other people wear comically large watches, I think you really have to consider how sound that reasoning is.

Oh, and back to the OP's original question ... without a doubt, the new 36mm Explorer.
