I think they toned it down so the Rolex crowd wouldn’t hiss. (Speculation)
I would like to think that they chose the darker colors thinking of what it will look like once it fades. I find that it looks much better in real life as opposed to photos.

BB58 easy. Great looking watch and comfortable. The GMT is too thick for me…not as comfortable and don’t like the look of a thick watch on the wrist.

I do not think you can go wrong with either and it is a matter of personal preference. I also own a Rolex Pepsi Ceramic and while I enjoy it it gets less than half the wear of my BB GMT. Good luck and let us jnow what you decide.
Yup, this^^^^^. And the size and “chunkiness” for the win IMO

Smaller wrists the reason?

Fair points.

But how a fine watch photographs is critical today, and why make a sister version of an icon more muted than your other standard BBay versions?

I’d like to see a future s&g version in black and a blueberry to really make their gmts special. Just use the colors from the 58 and wow!

Tudor GMT on bracelet with two links removed is 175g. It ultimately proved too heavy/bulky for my flat 7” wrist. Nice watch, though, and I had no issues with mine. I kept the BB58 blue.

BB58 over BBGMT if you’re overly concerned about the size. Wait for BB58GMT to come out which i am sure it will

A month or so ago I tried on the BB GMT and darn if the sucker wasn’t just too chunky for my liking. Fast forward to yesterday, and my amazing wife surprised me with this beauty. I’m one lucky SOB. Wears like a dream.

Tudor - BB GMT vs BB58 Blue

I’m considering a Tudor BB GMT or a Tudor BB58 Blue to add to my collection of a Nomos Orion 38, Rolex Explorer 39 MK2, and 1861 Speedmaster Pro. To do so, I’d sell my Datejust 116200 white dial that hasn’t gotten much wear at all since getting the Explorer 6 months ago. Basically it only gets worn when I have that guilt feeling of “it’s there, I should probably wear it” but it’s not like I’m excited to put it on or anything.

I’m “on the list” for a BLRO but I’m pretty resigned to the fact that isn’t going to happen and if it does, it’ll be a few years. So part of me wants the GMT to tide me over until someday when the BLRO might come in. Then if I love it, hooray!, especially since the BLRO is mostly a fantasy.

I’m concerned about the heft of the BB GMT because I previously had a 1st gen ceramic Seamaster 300m that I ended up selling because it was a bit cumbersome for a daily wear. Not horribly so, but it was noticeably annoying at times. Now, this wouldn’t be a daily wear like the SMPc was but I surely don’t want a watch that’s annoying when on wrist.

Everything I’ve read about the BB58 sounds like the size is simply perfect. (If only the GMT came in a 58 case, sigh). It would add some color variety to the lineup and if it isn’t a daily, no worries about monkeying with the date. Just a few cranks if the crown, set it and go. I love the look of the 58 too, but I have a bit of a GMT hankering since I’ve never had one.

First world problems for sure. But curious if you guys have ideas.

Thanks!!

If the Omega was too cumbersome for you, then don’t get the BB GMT. It’s a beast. A lovely one but it’s substantial. Some love it, some don’t.

The BB58 wears like a champ.

Edit:
NRA (never read ahead) - hahaha. I should have read the last post. Great choice, from a great woman!! Enjoy!!
