I don’t remember Patek 5711/1A having a border around the date window? But I’m not that well-versed in the different variations of 5711 over the years….

Why 5711 have so many variations?

Maybe because there are so many fakes out there?

This looks like a poor one to me. I just deleted further details as I believe to remember we are not supposed to discuss fakes on here.

Maybe you're just trying to see if your fake PP passes as the genuine article.

Hey everyone, I found a private seller in Taiwan with a green dial 5711 looking to sell to end client vs. dealer to reduce list of getting black listed. What is my best bet to ensure the that it is real? I know that the actual watch and documents can easily be faked and I do not think he wants to send it to a dealer in the US first before any payment. I am thinking to offer to pay for the shipping/insurance before it goes out and the rest within 3 days that it is confirmed as real. Should I ask for receipt from the AD or does anyone else have some ideas for an escrow service? Chrono24 won't work because they do not have Taiwan as available for escrow.

Greatly appreciate any information!
