114060 Bezel turning both ways

I think there was a bit too much pressure put o the bezel of my watch and now it turns both ways, in the past with non ceramic models I would just pop off the bezel and bend back in the spring, is it the same thing on the 114060? It does click when turned

There's no popping off the ceramic bezels, to my understanding. Sounds like it's going to need someone who knows what they're doing to look at it.

I agree.....gonna need to be looked at. One of the downsides to the 6 digits vs. the 5 digit models......DIY type tasks are limited.

Ceramic insert bezels have 3 spring loaded balls and a one way click stop. Completely different from the aluminum bezel 5 digit watches. If it spins both ways something is either unseated or broken or both with that click stop. Attempting to remove the bezel yourself may break the ceramic insert as they are brittle and don't flex. May be time to either find a watchmaker or leave it until RSC service time.

yeah I will drop by my local dealer if I feel like it needs to be fixed, it really is not a huge deal just if I could fix it myself like I had in the past I would. When it turns the way it shouldnt there is friction, almost like what ever the click stop is was pushed down and it the bezel just skips over it

If this is an ongoing issue with multiple watches I don't think the issue is the watch.

I heave heard for these jobs needs to go to RSC as they have a special tool and even authorized watchmakers with a parts account wont have one.

I am wondering though any of the watchmakers here ever take a ceramic sub c bezel off and put it back on? Have you ever cracked one? Is it really that hard? Could you in theory make a DIY part if you knew want RSC used?

I had a DIY tool to take my planet ocean bezel off. Now it was the older aluminum one, but it would come right off and I could easily pop it back one.

From my understanding, it’s not just the removal and installation of the bezel and insert... the gasket used is a one time use deralin gasket.

so after taking a closer look at my bezel today, I literally was able to pop it off with my finger nail (the entire bezel). Off to rsc tomorrow, it does appear that gasket cannot be reused and there is no way i can get this back on. will update tomorrow

gonna head over to RSC, do you think they will want to open up the watch? I have a feeling this is not going to be as simple as I hoped

dropped off at Leonardo in Red Bank, they think it will only be like $50-$100 for the spring and gasket, lets see.....
