Nice ones. But for me this modding takes a bit time to adjust my thoughts i think :)

Horus Digital Camo strap added, i love the oyster bracelet, rubber straps on a submariner are very comfortable also...tough choice.

This seems like a good place to make a start...
One thing that worried me as I joined the Rolex Forum a few minutes ago was how it would go down that mine is modded. Well at least it looks like I'm not the only one! The work was done by the previous owner. It's a 114060 but the bezel has been grit-blasted to take the shine off the ceramic and it has a red second hand (from a Yacht Master) I don't think I can post pics as a new member but I'll pop back and add one when I can. |

Wow. That's looks amazing! I kind of dislike how glossy the ceramic usually is, where can this be done if I ever decide to do so?

For me, the blue dial Daytona mod is ze mod of all mods:) I would love to own a pre-ceramic SS Daytona with that mod at some point in the future. I also like the white dialed New Daytona over the others.

I understand having an opinion about modifying a vintage Rolex, but I don’t understand the opposition to modifying a modern watch.

That blasted bezel insert is the best mod I've seen in here IMO, tames the look right down.
The ceramic bezel insert is my least favourite part of a new Rolex. I always wonder what these watches will be like in 20/30 years time when everything else has aged and there's this sparkling ceramic insert in there still. One of my favourite things about a sub is the greying insert on an old timer, looks so good with the aging lume. |

How long did it take them to do the work, and did you have the movement at the same time?
Should I expect some sticker shock on the expense to have this done? Thanks Sheldon

From memory it’s was a 3/4 week turn around and about £400 for bezel refinish and I had the case back brushed. Case work https://www.rolexforums.com/private.php Bezel work https://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=440710 |

Great thank you. Typo on my part; I meant to ask whether you had the movement *serviced* at the same time. Thanks again and Happy Holidays.

That blue dialled 116520 is incredible!!!! I think red chrono hands would just completely finish it!

Love Robb's Daytonas
Seems that Robb and I have similar taste. I bought exactly the same modded 116520 from Takuya 2 weeks ago; it is fantastic and it hasn't left my wrist since I received it (very unusual for me). Yeah, maybe I coulda gotten the factory WG model but: (1) It goes for double the street price, (2) It weighs half again as much, and (3) While hard to quantify, it will definitely scratch more easily. To me, SS is superior to WG (and platinum, for that matter) in every way; I just wish that some of my fancy strap watches were available in SS instead of precious metals.
In further agreement with Robb, and like everyone and their grandmother, I'm on the waiting list for a white-dialed 116500. |

My only Franken....
Just for fun mod as I have spare bezel set from 16710....I have all the insert colours but faded coke seems to be the most eye pleasing....
