I prefer it. Since its leather there is more friction and it doesn't slide on your wrist as much as the rubber which is smoother. So basically you don't have to wear it as tight. With a heavy watch it makes a difference. Plus, I prefer the look

I'm reading around that the SC might have the best pricing for purchasing additional straps. Is there an item code for the strap or would they be able to locate it given these details?

Also be aware the hole position on the GP strap is one less and sits between that of the rubber.

Pics should show what I mean better (both are standard length)

Sorry not sure why Tapatalk has split it over three post

Thanks for the strap chart and also for pointing that out. That might actually work out for me. Is loctite or any other accessories, other than the obvious screwdriver, necessary for changing straps myself? I've made changes on my Rolex before without any stress. AP's shouldn't be any different right? A screwdriver that I've used on my Rolex before should suffice for this job?

Also, does anyone have any input on how a black hornback might look on the RG44?

Not exactly what you’ve asked for but it should give you an idea.

Hi Tyler,

I have an AP Diver CE. Would you by chance know if there are GP straps for Divers? Thanks!

I may have missed it earlier, but why are you considering selling your RG44 Ben? Is it to fund another watch?

LOL...Yes it did cross my mind to sell it. But I decided against selling it for now. Thought of flipping it to fund the 5711-1R. Doesn't want too much cash tie down in my watch collection. I now have a crazy 16 watches in my collection! And that's excluding the cheaper ones. Definitely some consolidation is in order.

thats a lot. I'd consolidate, but not an AP 44. I can't get mine much above 7 which is where its at now as i still don't wear everything. With 16 thats just too many options. My favorite 5 (about), no matter which 5 it is gets all the time and the rest just sit. Im the same with jeans and shoes too though. I could have 100 pairs of shoes and it wouldn't matter. My favorite 5 would be the ones I would wear all the time and the rest would collect dust.

I'm with Tyler on this, in that 16 seems a lot. I now have 7, although one of those (the rose gold/ steel Rolex YM2) I want to shift. May well add another AP or two this year coming, depending upon what materialises for 2018, but I think quantity wise that needs to be the limit, with one in one out afterwards.

you can't sell a watch that is your current Avatar pic. Its some sort of rule, or it should be.

Thanks for the insight guys.

I have decided to keep the RG44 for now. Too beautiful to sell. Yeah, 16 watches is really too much. Some of them are in the safe which I don't see them for ages and some I seldom even wear over a month. However, for one reason or another, I find it hard to get rid of any of them even with minimal wrist time. Whenever I feel like selling them, I put them on and I changed my mind. I wonder if you guys have this sensation? It's as if watches know they are going to be sold and start to "sing" very loud.

My current collection is 7 APs, 2 JLCs, 2 Grand Seikos, 1 Zenith, 1 Patek, 1 Zenith, 1 UN and 1 Tudor.

Ben in that list you counted Zenith twice, maybe you’re down to 15 already?

Which UN do you have, a pic?

Usually for me once I decide to sell it goes, but I usually have another piece in mind. I haven't sold and not bought for a few years now.
