That’s what I heard too. Well actually I heard it from my cousin’s sisters uncles cleaning lady who is married to the step son of an AD employee.

Still a cool looking watch though don’t you think ??

Yeah, I’d go for that big time even though I prefer a sub without the date complication, I’d look past it and get my name on every AD I could call.

Edit: By the way, so long as it has BCL’s. PCL’s would make me think twice although probably would still go for it.

I think in Canada are almost the most sports team "red" :) but I agree with you... a red sub would be awesome !

As we are getting closer to Basel everyone is getting excited and hyped, I'm actually wondering whether this year might be a a bit of a damn squib, a let down!? I know it is all speculation , and we wont know until the day but I just can't see what they could bring out that would excite me (other than the potential of the SS Coke GMT).

Anybody else get the feeling or is it me? Can any one remember the last time they were left disappointed by the Basel releases?

I am not digging the green either but I have seen several red text subs. I would definitely be in for one if released.

The Tuodor Pelagos already has lume embedded in the ceramic, so why not? But if you want an updated bakelite-style bezel, sapphire overlay is the way to go, like what we see on the current Fifty Fathoms.

Omega released a luminous bezel on their Seamaster 300 in around 1968, which I thought was a remarkable achievement all those years ago. Obviously Rolex was not of the same view as they have never since made a luminous bezel (not counting the Pelagos which is Tudor).

Micro brands have been doing this for ages so it wouldn't be that big a deal tech wise. Only thing that would make it big is the usually conservative crown doing it. I feel like they will continue to reserve such things for Tudor and keep Rolex conservative.

Can’t see PVD PM coming off those ceramic Rolex bezels anytime soon. As a brand they are differentiating themselves away from the practical tool aspect of their watches.
It’s all about the bling now.

Wasn't ETA purchased by someone a few years ago? Wasn't it swatch?
