Is it just me or does the platinum dial have smaller circle markers? Seems to me like the rhodium one has the maxi markers.

Maybe they are the same size, but the rhodium in the pic is a 37mm. just a thought.

I think it's just an optical illusion. There is less contrast on the platinum dial so the white gold surrounds don't stand out as much as they do on the blue or rhodium dial.

Is the platinum bezel very noticeable in person? I have a hard time distinguishing it from SS.

I feel it looks different under a different light.
Someone posted recently "many faces of YM"

She is gorgeous! I will have to check it out in person at my local AD once my broken leg heals. :D

I am seriously getting close to pulling the trigger on the 116622, but am having a hard time deciding between platinum or rhodium. Hope my AD will have both.

You deffinitely have to look at them in person. The platinum looks 100 times better in person than in any photos. The blue dial didn't do it for me in pics but when I saw it in person it blew me away. The rhodium dial looked great in pics to me but in person left me very unimpressed. So you deffinitely have to see them in person.

From what I hear the dark rhodium dial looks much darker in person. You don't see the shiny sub burst effect as you see in photos. It really boils down to light conditions.

I really like the uniform look of the platinum dial. Very simple and clean. Perhaps it is best to buy it now as it is discontinued. Does that mean Rolex will never sell such a YM again?

I personally like the m-series with the flip lock clasp and also it does say rolex, rolex, rolex. I feel these will be more valuable in the future. I personally own the 16622 and my wife has the midsize one to match with me. I can't justify paying 10k for the dark rhodium and blue hands. You can get the 16622 for under 6k.

The blue is my favourite but I could quite cheerfully love the platinum dial just as much. I'm starting to consider flipping my BLNR for one.

Chaps

Pics never do the Yachtmaster justice. When you see them in the flesh they are truly magnificent.
