I'm glad they are fixing it for you. Hopefully it works great from now on. If it breaks again, I'd get rid of it and get another one.

As shocked as I was at the 1K service option, I was more surprised by the replacement value stated on the quote vs what I paid just a few short years ago.
Yikes! Glad I bought it when I did when my (now defunct) AD was handing out discounts over the phone like candy.

Went with option A.
Very kind of them and I offered my appreciation for the gesture.
Hope that works out for you.

I would have wanted more information. What can they adjust that will "get it running"? How long will the adjustment last?

I might be inclined to have the full service done based on that information.

Wow, I didn't know it cost so much for servicing a Tudor, it's about the same as Rolex! Thanks for posting

My thinking is they missed the original problem ad couldn't admit it. The initial bill was $1500. For some reason you'd think they'd do other than place blame for that money. If they decide the owner is at fault there is nothing that really can be done. It's a bit of a racket, imho.

Agreed, it's not unique to Rolex, this happens all over. It's annoying, sorry you're going through it. Usually you get a good example, sometimes you don't. Luck of the draw.

Dump that &itch. My father has successfully been constantly abusing his '98 16610 for nearly 7 years, bought pre-owned and never serviced to my knowledge. And it looks cool.

Asked them what the actual problem was that they were adjusting.
Here is the answer.
It is a mechanical movement so from time to time small technical adjustments will be required.

A technical difficulty with the mainspring (power supply) of the watch has caused it to stop.
