Looking to purchase a Datejust 41

Hi everyone, I'm new to the forum.
Looking to purchase my first Rolex, a datejust 41 with the fluted bezel, jubilee bracelet.
What sort of discounts do I expect from a UK AD, the best I can achieve is 7%.

Thanks.

You should be getting close if not 20% off an the exact combination of DJ41 you mentioned. But then again, it also depends if you have a history and a good relationship with that AD or not.

Mine said hello!

Tops, I’d bet ADs near me won’t negotiate much on DJ41.
Discount has become a very dirty word around here!

Go for it.
I’d also say Fluted bezel and Jubilee is the nicest combo by miles too.

Congratulations in advance

Your best strategy is to visit the AD and see what's just sitting around. They're going to be a whole lot more willing to discount something to help move it.

Rhodium. I like the blue but thought Rhodium is more versatile.

Probably only 10%, used to be three times that but different world now, but then resale is tighter as well.

I found the best way to get more that the "allowed by Rolex 5%" from an AD was to take in a watch to trade against the new one. We did this, DJ26 & DJ36 against my wife's new DJ31, and Sub Date to DJ41 for me. In both cases the price offered for the old watches compared to what we'd get elsewhere was remarkable. Rolex can't control what ADs PAY for watches coming in!

Is there a way to tell what bracelet the watch originally came with from factory?
Reason I ask is because last time (november) I was in this AD they didn't have my combo in stock and mentioned bracelet swap so just want to make sure my watch haven't had a swap from another DJ41.

Bracelet swap is fine if it retains a correct reference number. Make sure the AD sends the guarantee card off to be amended. Takes 7-10 days to come back.

DoctorA, man that is a sweet deal! You got to put the warranty in your name and it was BNIB? What did you end up paying if you don’t mind?
Been interesting in this same DJ41 for a while. Just waiting for the right time and funds.

Why would you 'expect' a discount?

I ended up paying $5950 for a DJ41 Blue dial flat bezel and jubilee bracelet
Yes warranty card in my name and full package!

I was looking at some DJ's this week and asked the same question. There was some discussion between the managers and they offered me £250.00
And that was from a small company with 4 shops.

Totally agree, they appear to want to push the interest free deals.

The AD that I visited confirmed that they would be happy to swap the bracelets. But I didn't know that the warranty card had to be amended. So many thanks for the information.
