5711A vs 5712A (if you could only have one, which one?)

Now that BOTH the 5711A and 5712A are reselling well-above retail prices and are both nearly impossible to get new, I thought it would be fun to re-run this poll.

If you could only have one, which one would you want?

I’ve had both and still have the 5711. Prefer the symmetry.

5712 by a mile for me. The 5711 doesn't really get me excited in the same way the 5712 does. In the 5711, I also prefer the white over the blue.

Kinda want both...5711 is slightly the favorite but the 5712 is growing on me more and more just being more interesting.

5712, the 5711 is simple but it gets boring (imho)....5712 is quirky and with a micro rotor is quite unique as well.

I don’t really have a favorite nautilus. Fortunately, PP offers many nautilus in a reasonable case size, unlike AP, so any of them will do for me.

Another vote for the 5711. The absence of minute markers on the 4 and 5 (20 & 25 mins) bugs me. I am just OCD like that though.

I love the 5712, no idea why it works for me so much, and my 11 needs are sated by my lovely R too.

5711. I love the symmetry and the classic design. The 5712 is beautiful, though.

tough call as i think the 5712 is a nicer looking watch and is one I will never get tired of looking at not to mention its unique so i chose that one. That said, i think the 5711 is obviously the more iconic watch.

Although I do believe that I would have more fun with the 5712, Im going with the 5711 right now because I believe it will stay in my collection longer

Extremely difficult question. The only answer has to be ‘both’: 5712 for the stunning blue, along with the whitish 5711 piano dial.

I’ve only seen a 5711 briefly, and even though it is an icon, I did not care for it at all. The dial does little for me.
That said I love the layout of the 5712. If given the opportunity I’d go 5712 all day every day.

Exactly same opinion here. And couple of photos (downloaded from Instagram) to proof the point until I have my own photos soon hopefully
