Iconic watch models
As a newbie, I find myself more atracted by those modern itinerations of iconic models than by something that's unique or revolutionary.
I'm already super lucky and grateful to own two amazing watches (the GMT-Master II BLRO and the Navitimer Ref. 806 1959 Re-edition) from below lists and remain hopeful that I'll be able to complete a trio by adding a Portugieser Automatic 40 later down the road. Anything else following that would be me smoking too much. But while daydreaming, allow me to put together 3 perfectly balanced (IMHO) watch collections. Only one (luxury) watch "collection": 1. Omega Speedmaster Pro - the versatile one 20210121_001842.jpg Five (luxury) watch collection: 1. Rolex GMT-Master - the traveller 20210120_234844.jpg 2. Breitling Navitimer - the chronographer 20210120_234901.jpg 3. IWC Portugieser - the simple one 20210120_234919.jpg 4. Cartier Santos-Dumont - the precious one 20210120_234937.jpg 5. Rolex Submariner - the diver 20210120_234958.jpg Three (high-end) watch collection: 1. Audemars Piguet Royal Oak - the sporty one 20210121_001348.jpg 2. Patek Philippe Calatrava - the dressy one 20210121_000327.jpg 3. A.Lange & Sohne Lange 1 - the casual one 20210121_002951.jpg What a beautiful hobby one can have !!! |

Here’s my 3 iconic watch collection. Well at least 2 out of 3 are definitely iconic...
I might get a 3rd mechanical eventually, but right now, these are all I need, and yes, I really like the Apple Watch and consider it part of my 3 watch collection. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Those are all, most certainly, iconic watches. Icons are icons for a reason but I would still advocating buying what one likes.
