May be getting an AP soon. Do they have serial numbers on the watch?
First time AP buyer so i would like to know if they have serial numbers on the watch just like Rolex does on its rehaut. Are there any other ways of checking if the watch is legit too? Thanks in advance!

Serial is on the caseback not the rehaut. You should be able to distinguish the real deal by inspecting the movement. That said, if you are new to this I would seek the advice of someone more seasoned as the fakes are rampant.

Which one are you looking at? I would recommend to post pics here and the experts will let you know if it is legit.

Buyer beware - if in doubt go down the AD route if it’s an available model.
Or use a trusted enough grey so you don’t even need to check it’s legit or not.

Ask if the seller is willing to go with tou to an AP boutique to get an extract from archives. It costs 250chf, ap takes the watch apart, and check against their internal DB info.

AP has two serial numbers, one on the caseback and one on the movement. These are two different numbers and both should be in the AP booklet the watch comes with.
