1 day update

Well, I love the Datejust. It's a beautiful watch. A touch lighter than my Sub, but I'm adjusting. I think I like the Sub more, but I'm glad I have this one. (Thanks JJ for the tip on the pics. I hope these are better).

Frank, that is a BEAUTIFUL Datejust! I really like the new design and that blue is lovely. What a nice 'sibling' for your Sub Date....Enjoy and post wrist shots when you can!

Much, much better now, Frank!!

As Padi said, try crown UP. Also, in the first picture, CROP in left hand side to within a couple of mm of the watch. You don't need the sides....you only want to accentuate the watch.

If possible, I'd also like to see one on the wrist - BOTH, front and back with the clasp. Just want to see how the clasp sits on the wrist. Did you have to take off any links? If so, how many and from which sides? Sorry for so many questions - just curious!!

Thanks - JJ

My wrists are not as big as yours, JJ (it might be my lack of extracurricular activities ). I took the watch to the AD last night to have it sized, so I'm not sure which sides she took them out from. However, I think a total of 3 links were removed. I'll get on to taking some wrist shots here soon.

3 links....hmmm. Okay, thanks. See if you can get some nice close-ups of the clasp itself. What's the lettering and number on the clasp? Is the watch a Z-series? Oops....more questions!!

The watch is a Z-series. 63200 & OP5 are what are on the clasp.

Excellent pics, thanks a million, Frank!! OP5 would make it May 2006; 63200 is the bracelet part number.

In that first picture, why doesn't the crown sit in the CENTRE of the wrist? Tell me, how many links do you now have on the '12' side and how many on the '6' side? DON'T count the end links which are fitted between the lugs.

Also let me know EXACTLY how many spare links you are left with off the watch. I need to know this just so maybe I can guide you as to how you could CENTRALISE that damn coronet to sit DEAD CENTRE on your wrist.

Thanks - JJ

Actually, JJ, the coronet is sitting in the middle of my wrist. I think I just twisted my wrist funnily to get it to sit right for the picture. But it is centered.

That's good to hear, Frank....but just to satisfy my curiosity (and this is purely from a technical point of view!), could you reply to my questions above?

I really do want to know how many ORIGINAL links come with the new Jubilee, how many have been taken off (in your case) and how many you have on either side of the watch.

Thanks a million, pal!!

Pushy, pushy.
13 from 12 side to Coronet, and 8 at the 6 side. 4 links out (i just removed one to see how tight it would be).

Thanks, Frank!!

A 13 + 8 configuration seems just about right to get a perfect balance. So if you've taken off 4, that means the new Jubilee comes with 25 original all up links!!

Great work, Frank!! And good luck with that beauty!!

Thank you, sir. I'm liking it. I still prefer the subbie, but there is a certain elegance to Blue. She's got a beautiful shine to her.

Better keep Subby away from her. He loves DJs that shine!!

Yes and the Rolex, Rolex, Rolex inscription around the chapter ring is very subtle....hardly noticeable.
