Omega Seamaster Alveoles Quartz with Pictures
Hello all,
On checking the forum I can honestly say how impressed I am with the feedback to date. I have just been given an Omega Seamaster Alveoles Quartz (mens). I believe the watch is from 1980s. I can honestly say I know little about it except it is a two tone 18k gold plated/steel watch with a gold face with dots as hour markers and date. Does anyone have a rough value for one in good condition for the age. I can find very little information and have no paperwork. Even the omega website has very little to go on. Thank you for any help and assistance, it will be most gratefully received. Last edited by apollo92; 20 February 2010 at 01:17 PM.. Reason: Error |

Very nice Omega, actually first I see like that - though may not mean much as I primarily collect diver's watches.
IF you can remove the back cover without ruining (scratching) the watch up, and provide the Ref number from the INSIDE case back, I can run it against the Omega Vintage Database and tell you everything you ever needed to know! Keep in mind, I suspect this model has a caseback that requires a special tool, so to be safe I suggest taking it to a jeweler and nicely ask him to please open it -- it should be free to have them do that. OR maybe it's a snap back?? Based on the age of the watch, and that it's quartz I'm sure it's had a battery change in the last 30 years... but once at the jeweler it may be a good idea to get that battery replaced and maybe shoot a pic or 2 of the inside case back and the movement (as the mov't has a caliber number), and helps confim the watch vs. the Omega Vintage Database. Good Luck, chrono24seven |

I'd say that's a rare piece... Maybe late 1970 or early to Mid 1980's... But sure is a beaut!
