Icon2 Check out this defect on Dark Side of the Moon!

Hey guys, handled an Omega Dark side of the Moon and when looking at it I saw some dust on the dial and some light shining through the case back. Omega mentioned "faulty" dials have been installed on this model over the year. Take a look at the pictures below. I personally have never seen anything like this. I'm afraid to order one because of the same issue with the light/dust which I feel may be a uniform issue across this model line. Their explanation of the dust on the dial and on the case back (not shown in pictures) is because of an issue with the seals where the chronograph pushers are. They told me to shine a flashlight through the back of the clear case back and turn the watch around to see if light comes through the dial. If so, it's considered defective (according to the Omega Boutique watch tech). What do you think?

Take a look and give me your advice!

It’s not. It’s light shining through from the case back! Omega’s service center told me to do that to see if the watch has a “defective dial”.

I'd pass or require very close inspection.

That’s just the lighting. The watch is brand new.

LOL. I’m just relaying what the tech at Omega said.

First I noticed dust, I called the service center, then the tech said to shine a light through the back of the watch. I never would have thought of that.

Weird.

Without lighting from the back, does the dial look odd at all?

The dial disn’t look odd. However, you were able to see some shadows on the outer perimeter of the crystal even while wearing.
