It is not wrong to admire it, to keep looking at it, to be proud of it and to enjoy wearing it. What is wrong is if your inability to take your eyes off it causes you to bump into things or step under passing traffic.

If you don't catch yourself staring at your watch, you bought the wrong one!

Perfectly normal for a WIS. Since I was 7 (I'm 50 now) I have been staring at my watches randomly throughout the day and night. I'll charge the lume and stare at it while laying in bed pretty much every night.

Ever since I got my FPJ CS, I've been caught several times staring at the BACK of my watch. Now that's a bit awkward....

The nighttimes are the hardest; especially in the days of "tritium" = I always looked at it every minute I was awake and sometimes fell asleep to "Tritium glow"!

It's perfectly fine...

But whatever you do, never look at your watch when your wife is trying to have a "meaningful conversation."

It's a "Rolex Thang".
Tried to explain it to the girlfriend who still says regularly, "Man that's a good looking watch". (Subc) Got tired of it and we got her one two weeks ago. She calls the other day...."I love my watch. I just catch myself staring at it all the time".
Transformation complete!

Not so much these days although when I look at my watch I do spend a few extra seconds looking at it.....................now, when I was a kid in the 70s I would spend all night looking at my Red LED watch all night, even during the day I would go into my cupboard, shut the door and press that button that gave that Red Glow to tell me the time. So much joy owning that watch, I wish I still had it

People are all staring at their mobile for interest, what’s wrong with staring at our watches for admiration?
