Serviced explorer crown will not screw all the way down

Hi all, just had my explorer serviced now the crown will not screw all the way down, service man says it's the new gasket and cant be corrected. Any suggestions ?

It's not supposed to "screw all the way down".. The crown should always be above the case so that the gasket in the crown can seal against the top of the tube like it is designed to do.

If your crown contacts the case the crown gasket will not seal..

Thank you! I had no idea, it was closer to the case before the service but maybe the old gasket was flatter?

From this angle you couldn't see the threads before, but if this means it's sealing I a happy camper !

I am surprised that you can see any threads....on both my GMT and Sub, you can't see any threads when the crown is fully screwed down.
