if it's from an AD the only questions i'd be asking is if they take a cash discount and asking myself if I really want this watch :)

No difference. Scrambled serials and they always sell. Whatever Sub Date you find at an AD most likely won't be anything older than 2016-present. You will get the green hangtag and 5 year warranty. If it were a Datejust or DJII then they very well could be older.

How long are you prepared to wait?

Any new models released at Basel wont be in the stores for months (June/July at the very earliest) and even then you can bet the wait lists will be ridiculous.

If you like the Sub and they have one in stock then grab it - it wont hang around for long.

A bird in the hand as they say...

If you definitely want it, why are you waiting to see what comes out at Basel? If an SS Coke comes out, would you want the Sub any less? If so, I suggest your want may not that "deffo."

As for questions, I would just make sure there's a green hang tag and a five-year warranty. If you can get a discount, go for it; otherwise, buy and enjoy.

If you want a Sub Date I'd jump on that piece in the U.K. Unfortunately, if Rolex releases a SS Coke (which I think is improbable), you will have a very tough time finding one in the US, let alone the U.K.

IMO enjoy the Sub now if you really do like the Sub

They are hard to get in Australia and I believe it is harder in the UK. If you can get one grab it immediately. I got mine two weeks ago and I can't take it off.
