I think you'll be fine if you're staying around all the touristy areas in Athens, like the Plaka, Acropolis and the main shopping strip (Ermou).

Just be aware of your surroundings & use common sense. I felt safe at all times.

Seeing the Acropolis is a must do. Get there early in the morning to avoid the crowds and the heat of the day. 20 Euros is dead cheap for a ticket to see the Ancient Greek ruins. I also got a ticket on one of those Hop On and Hop Off buses around Athens (20 Euros also & valid for 2 days). It is touristy but a convenient way to see and get to all the main sights.

I went to Santorini over a decade ago. Check out the sunset at Oia and the black and red sand beaches around the island.

I haven't been to Crete but a buddy of mine (who is of Greek heritage) is going there next month.

Ha ha ha, I was using my bezel to check when it would be safe to get back into the water after eating a meal. I didn't want to get any cramps!!

Ha ha ha, yes! You can stare at that dial reflecting the rays of sunlight for hours on the beach or pool sun lounge chairs, with a cocktail in your other hand

I absolutely LOVE seeing LVc pics at the beach/pool! Can't wait to post my own (once I actually buy the thing next month). Looks great!
