GMT bracelet question

Good morning.

I'm looking to find out what the correct bracelet for a 1977 GMT Master, serial # 515****, would be. I've done a search, but don't have the time to cull through the hundreds of results. I'm hoping for a quick response from the experts here!

Thanks.

You can go jubilee or oyster on your GMT 1675. See chart below ("Oyster Opt. 03" and "Jubilee Opt. 01") for the late '70s.

Hello,
You could choose from an oyster bracelet reference 78360 with 580 end links, or a jubilee bracelet reference 62510H with 550 end links and 50 stamped in the last bracelet link. Either bracelet should have a clasp code of B (VB) or C (VC) for 1977 or 1978.

This is what it currently wears. Could this be correct for the period?

As Springer pointed out, yes, that C&I rivet bracelet could be period correct for your GMT, but the date stamp puts the manufacturer date about seven years earlier. Nothing wrong with that, unless it bugs you. Just means that the actual bracelet, or at least the clasp, is not original to the watch.

Thanks, everyone. The discrepancy in dates bugs me, but I'm not sure I want to do anything about it. If the rivet bracelet could be correct, I'll most likely leave it alone.

From this chart, a 1675 would never have 80 endlinks? Is that correct? Thanks!

Not sure how definitive/complete that chart is, especially with the end links. My 6263 has 571 end links (a new set RSC just installed), and that's not on the chart either. I think it's good just for the basics.

Just to be clear, C&I bracelets and USA bracelets are different animals.

C&I are USA made Oyster bracelets and then you have the USA made oval link Jubilees.

Where is the confusion? Could you please explain why they are different animals?

7206 were made in Switzerland and the links are a different shape as far as I know.

X2. That chart is very incomplete.
