Great review thanks for posting! Do you have any pics showing how much of the strap you can see when looking down at your wrist? I have a 6.5" wrist too and would like to get either Everest or RubberB for my Sub. Ideally I'd like to get tang but the length of the Everest definitely concerns me because I also don't want to see too much overlap on the tongue side. Love the comparison shots showing the relative lengths of each.

Cheers

One other question: I read another review that said the Rubber B runs into the bezel which causes it the bezel to be harder to turn - did you have this issue on either your Rubber B or Everest Strap? This would be a deal breaker for me.

Cheers

So many things are tempting me to pick up one of these rubbers. Good review!

I can't say anything specific to Everest rubber, but I have an Everest fitted alligator strap sitting in a drawer because it's too big for my 6.75" wrists. There are enough holes on the strap, but the angle of the strap down from the case is too wide and it won't sit on the sides of my wrist no matter how tight the strap is. There's also a very long overlap of extra strap hanging off. Despite the punched holes, it's definitely not designed for wrists under 7".

I don't know if the rubber is the same, but I'd imagine it is. In your case, I'd also be concerned about the angle of the strap off the case -- even if you go with the deployant option and get each piece the right length, it might still sit funny because the strap flares out too much.

That said, I had some other quality issues with my strap, and Everest themselves seemed to realize there were issues since they dropped the price quite soon after I bought it. So, maybe their rubber straps are better?

In terms of size, I prefer the Rubber B because it is more compact. In terms of safety, I prefer the Everest because the screw-in system is more secured compared to the push pin.

I'll double check on this tonight but I don't think either strap rubs against the bezel.

My man i sent you a few direct messages letting you know i have so many of these straps (5 of each in both tang and depoyant) and that everest is the better, most comfortable one.

If you have a watch with scalloped bezel, like the submariner - it fits the way it's supposed to. If you have one with a smooth bezel, such as the explorer 2, there is a slight gap - on both watch straps. This cannot be solved. You can see it in the picture in the left corner.

If you have a small wrist like I do, which is 2 links taken out of the full size braclet making it 6x4, clasp set to smallest/tightest setting - you can see the tang strap sticks out a little in the photo.

$225 purchase.

I'm a different animal. I let the hem off and pull the trigger without 2nd doubts.
But that's me ;)

Can you define "better"?

I've had two Rubber B straps and they were excellent. In every picture I've seen tof everests they do not appear as well finished?

Good one.
Yes, for sure. On my Daytona, the chocolate rubber strap is stiffer and less giving than my Everest.

Everest is softer and more comfortable IMHO.

That said, Rubber b has more variations of strap for more watch models.
But Everest has the integrated leather strap that rubber b does not.

I bought the red tang from both companies. Why? 1st one from Everest for my explorer 2 - i did not like the little gap that was there that is not there with a scalloped bezel. So i bought the rubber b next and it fits a little better.

(On the 42mm explorer 2 this is not an issue it fits snug as it should to the case.)

I've dealt with both companies personally, face 2 face and on the phone and they are both top notch professional organizations.

Wanna know who's garbage? Horus Straps. Hot garbage.

I have the Rubber B for my LN GMT. Regarding this from your review:

"As mentioned in my review on the Rubber B, even the company has acknowledged that this particular strap (meant for the Rolex GMT-Master II) is challenging to install (not sure if they have updated the strap to fix this issue)."

I purchased my Rubber B from a store that retails them in Houston. Not having the required tool at the time I had them install it for me. The guy had a difficult time and I started to wonder if I had made a mistake buying it. After several tries he decided to use spring bars that were slightly skinnier than the spring bars that come in the Rolex bracelet. Well, bingo, the strap went in easily. Based on this single experience, the spring bars in the bracelet are too thick for the Rubber B causing the difficulty. Perhaps the fix is to make the holes in the rubber strap everso slightly larger to accommodate the Rolex spring bars.

The Everest is easier to install and more comfortable.

The Rubber B bends straight down which does not work well for me (7 1/4" wrist)

Not fond of the horizontal line on the Rubber B that mimicks an end link either.

Great write-up! I have been looking into an alternative strap as a way to switch things up every once in a while. These two are definitely the ones I'm looking at. Anyone have some experience with both/either strap on a Daytona(116520 white)??

I decided to do a thorough review of both Rubber B and Everest, and took tons of pictures of both side by side , and on my wrist. https://robsrolexchronicle.blogspot.com/2019/04/rubber-b-versus-everest-comparison.html

Here are a few:
