the bue dial 'dazzles' in official pictures but in some regular pics ive seen on this and other websites it can look a little dulll by comparison.

i think it needs to be viewed in natural daylight away from the false studio lights before rushing in and making a hasty decision.

the tt looks more and more tempting everytime i see a picture of it.

I know that blue is gorgeous, but the black and stainless looks damn sexy. Hard to say man... I'm not much help here.

Was not impressed at all with the blue when I saw it in person. In fact, I had my mind set on the blue until I put it on my wrist.

My name is now on the black!

SS SkyD Black is what I would buy. I think that is the hottest new Rolex of 2017.

Tried all three at Oxford street viewings. Went in thinking there are so few white dial rolex watches and it was the one I was targeting. In the metal the black sunburst is just amazing. I was a bit underwhelmed by blue (guess I'm odd given the poll result)... So for me black>white>blue

The white dial TT is on my list. I'm a 2-tone fan though. The black dial is very attractive as well. I haven't seen any in the metal. Saw this picture here on the forum.

Special viewing or available to everyone? I really want to see one in person. Though i am concerned with everyone being underwhelmed with the blue

Haven't seen in reality but in pics the white one seems to be the most legible.

I assume special viewing as I was invited in and they only had them for 3 days. Interestingly this watches of Switzerland store were not operating a list, but those that made the effort to visit on the back of the invite are to be given priority....not sure I've ever heard of this mechanism.

Was also invited by them to a Rolex fuction a week or so before (couldn't make it at the short notice they gave - 24 hrs notice so expect a more favoured client dropped out late) BUT I heard afterwards that Rolex had brought along 10 sd43s for sale that night!!! That'll teach me for not being flexibly ...grrrr

Something about the white looks lovely. Especially in the flesh. Can imagine it on a nice leather too

I'm really intrigued by the Sky Dweller and while I didn't want to spend the coin for a PM, I thought I'd wait and see a stainless version when they hit the ADs. I visited a couple of ADs today (bought a Hulk...), and tried on a YG SD. Surprisingly, I didn't like it. I found it hard to read the second time zone. I'm 52 and the vision isn't what it used to be. I groove to the complexities involved in the SD, and thought I would like it.

Goes to show that you sometimes have to put it on the wrist to see how it feels.

Tried on the Sea Dweller 43 yesterday at a local rolex event and instantly realised it was not for me. Cracking tool watch but it was just a bit simple for my taste and next to my BLNR looked like a bit of a backward step. Didn't realise I liked the PCL's on my GMT so much : )

Next on the list was the SS Sky Dweller - Instant hit!

Nice PCL's
Great size - 42mm sits nicely on my wrist and very comfy
Nicely complicated movement with annual calendar
That Rolesor command bezel just shouts at you

Now for colour -

Black - Nope
White (Ivory?) - Nice but was too 'obviously a flashy git' for me.
Blue - BOOM!

By a mile the index markers, date and now longer hands stand out much better against the blue background.

So I voted - Blue.

October looking like a maybe. Patience.

I have not seen the SS or TT Sky-Dweller in person yet but from the pictures and statements of members here I would go for the black dial. I really like certain shades of blue that Rolex uses but maybe not so much on the blue for the Sky-Dweller. I own two PM Sky-Dwellers, one in WG with the black dial and the other in YG with the silver dial. The black, at certain angles appears gray or charcoal. Which I like. If you want a watch that fits well for being so large the Sky-Dweller may be the one. Not much of a TT fan but have owned several over the years. I stick to PM or SS now.
