Replacement case and valuation
Hello -
Question about replacement case and valuation: how much difference in value would there be, all other things being equal, between a reference 1530 with original 4m series case with some laser welded repairs and one with a service case?

How do you know the 1530 case is a replacement? I would think either would be tough sells.
Are you trying to decide on a 1530 to buy or repair one you own? |

Serial number of replacement case is different, I believe they're 5m where originals were 4m. Purchase decision, just exploring.

I think the 1530's start in the low 4 millions and go into the fives. I have never seen a replacement 1530 case and the serial ranges overlap the replacement case serials so that's why I was wondering. Why not search for one without any issues?

Ah-hah! You are correct, where my earlier info was not, it is not a replacement case. This makes my decision a bit easier...
