1630
Hi, I'm brand new here, and hope I'm doing everything correctly.
I just purchased a two-tone 1630. I have been reading that the serial numbers began in the 5,100,000ish and went to 5,400,000ish, but mine is a 4,155,069, indicating it would be a 1974 model. I also read that the movements in these were a 3135, but mine has a 1570. I'm quite sure the clasp has been replaced with a stainless and stamped 14, because it is slightly above center and have read that this model had a B above the 14. Can anyone help me out with these things. I have good photos I can send in a private email, if someone would like to see. Thank you! Rodney |

The 3135 movement wasn't released until approximately 1988.

As far as I know, 1630/1530 models were produced over 4 mil and 5 mil serial range. I do not believe I have seen any 6 mil 1630s (though I will not be surprised - anyone, please correct me).
most of my 1630s are from 5.4 mil range (I guess the most common range), but 1530 I have from 4.1 and 5.1 Cal was 1570 (actually 1575 since the watch had a date feature, but the bridge was marked 1570). Vlad Need to see the pictures for comments on the band, yet, 'B' might indicate 14 vs 18 K (kinda like it did on 17013s (early were SS/14K, then SS/18K) |
